NOTICE OF NON-STATUTORY PUBLIC HEARING
BYLAW 2025/02/d: Business License Bylaw
Wednesday, June 4, 2025, 9:00 am, Council Chambers, Drayton Valley Civic Centre: 5120-52 Street, Drayton Valley, AB
The Town is proposing to amend the Business License Bylaw to include a return on investment for the businesses, this includes membership in the Business Support Network, a free fire inspection, and a choice to belong to the Trespassing Agent Program
Please be advised that Town Council will be holding a Non-Statutory Public Hearing to receive comments, questions, and concerns regarding the Bylaw. The public hearing will also be virtually broadcast via Webex, the Town’s online streaming platform. Your attendance is encouraged as this is your opportunity to express your views.
If you cannot attend, you are encouraged to submit comments inwriting to the Planning and Development department email provided below, or in-person at the Civic Center prior to the hearing on or before May 28th, 2025. Written submissions received after this date will be provided to Town Council as part of the formal public hearing.
Any petitions regarding this proposal must be filed with the Town’s Chief Administrative Officer in accordance with the Municipal Government Act Sections 219, 221, 222, 223, 224 & 225.
